Island Sol caters to both corporate groups looking to reward top performers and build team work as well as families celebrating that special occasion. Our expertise in the water sports industry will make your guests feel at home as they experience unforgettable events such as our Hands On Regatta! Kayak Relay Race: Teammates pair up and line up behind their respective kayaks. Pairs will paddle out around a course and return to the beach where they switch. The team to relay their kayak around the course the designated number of times first wins. The “pins” will vary from floating out on the water to mini golf on the beach. An Island Sol representative will be at each hole to keep score. Approximately 30 minutes. Beach Olympics: A combination of two or more events from the list above (except the Yacht Racing Regatta) run as a series. 2008 EVENTS LIST
Resort Racing Experience: Join the Island Sol Racing team in some classic 'round the buoies one-design racing. You will enjoy close quarters racing action at its finest whether your a seasoned pro itching to take the helm or first time amateur along for the ride! Check the Event Schedule for racing dates. $25/person (Racing Team greatly appreciates your gratuity)
Yacht Racing Regatta: Island Sol’s premium team building event. Your group will practice on board 24’ one-design racing yachts then compete in a regatta. The entire event takes approximately 4 hours.
$750/boat (6 people/boat, price includes gratuity)
Hobie Wave Regatta: Teams are given a rigged Hobie Wave sailboat and paddles and a course to sail around. For groups larger than 28 the event can be run as a relay. The event takes approximately 45 minutes.

Volleyball Tournament: Games are played in a fast paced “rally” format which keeps the action moving and the scores close. Run as double or single elimination depending on the number of competitors to determine the winner. Approximately 60 minutes.
Snorkel Scrabble: Teams will be given a scrambled word with a theme such as “marine life”. Half the team will don masks and hunt down the letters (tennis balls) while their teammates unscramble the word. Approximately 30 minutes.
Sandcastle Contest: Teams are given a shovel, various buckets and sand shaping tools which they can use to create sand “art” based on a theme decided by the group leader. Island Sol’s team will judge the creations based on predetermined criteria. Approximately 45 minutes.

Snorkel Scavenger Hunt: Buoys mark out the hunting area and teams are given lists of items to find. These items have been dropped in the buoyed area beforehand. The team that recovers all of the items to the finish area first wins. Approximately 45 minutes.

Beach Rally: Teams each start at a different location and must complete different tasks such as golf chipping, charades, pedal boat race, critter rescue etc. Tasks are timed by Island Sol representatives and the team with the lowest combined time wins. Approximately 45 minutes.
Water Sports Clinics: Give your group the opportunity to learn how to windsurf and/or sail with our professional staff of U.S. Sailing Certified Instructors. Lessons ensure that your group will be able to safely use all of the water sports equipment included in the resort fee without having to schedule and pay for private lessons on their own!
